Robert Kelley

 

Robert Kelley is an improvisational dance performer and Ann& Weston Hicks Choreography Fellow at the school at Jacob's Pillow. He received BFA from University of South Florida and MFA from California Institute of the Arts. He has trained with Dr. Suzanne Salapa, Andrew Carroll, Lesley Brasseux-Rodgers, Jeanne Travers, Michael Foley, Andee Scott and Bliss Kohlmyer. He performed works by Jacques Heim, Alonzo King, Robert Moses, Ohad Naharin, John Parks, and Xiao Xiangrong.

Robert performed internationally: The international 2014 and 2016 COCO Festivals in Port-of Spain, Trinidad, the 2015 International Creative Dance Summer in Beijing, China. The Society for East-West Music in Seoul, South Korea, LEAP Dance Festival in Liverpool, England in 2018, Holding Common Ground:Pathway to Cultural Exchange in Saigon, Vietnam in 2019. He continued to perform in Los Angeles, Paris, France in 2022. 

Robert's most recent works include the production of "AIKY" Pathway to Light" for his MFA thesis at the California Institute of the Arts. This collaborative work included over 20 Los Angeles based artists. 

Robert is thrilled to learn RAD method to gain his knowledge and share his collaboration with the students at Ballet Kukan Academy.
